Confirmation of The Chief Justice of Nigeria.
I, Oludotun Adetunberu , a bonafide Citizen of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ekiti State to be
precise humbly write to draw your attention to
the need to urgently forward to the Senate of
the Federal Republic of Nigeria the name of the
Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter
Onoghen for immediate confirmation .
Your Excellency, with due respect to your exalted
office , this letter/request became very expedient
based on the fact that the President of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria is currently
indisposed. May God grant unto him good health
and I wish him early recovery.
Your Excellency, providence has bestowed on you
the privileges and powers to direct the affairs of
our dear nation. Hence, I plead that there should
be no further delay since the required three (3)
months prescribed by section 231 of the
Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
1999 (as amended) will elapse in few days to come.
Your Excellency, your timely intervention and
subsequent confirmation of the Acting Chief
Justice of Nigeria will go a long way in protecting
the sanctity of the Judiciary and the image of
our dear country from international
embarrassment and public ridicule.
As a professor of law, with vast knowledge of all
constitutional implications of delaying a sensitive
issues such as this, I humbly pray that your
