EKSU ALUMNI KICK-START ONE BILLION NAIRA TRUST FUND

It was a glorious moment on Saturday, the 8th day of Sept, 2018 at the second EKSU ALUMNI EMINENT PERSONS' GROUP  BREAKFAST MEETING that took place at Royal Parklane hotel, Akure, Ondo State. The Association under the leadership of Asiwaju Oludotun Adetunberu recorded another milestone as Eminent members of the Association met and keyed into the vision 2030 of the Asiwaju Dotun Adetunberu led administration.





Very distinguished members of the Association were in attendance and they all showed their readiness and commitment towards moving the Association and the University to the next level.

 Many useful discussions were made during the business session where papers were presented by the National president, the Chairman,EPG, Dr. Isreal Ovirih, and Mr Steve Akadiri, the Chairman of Harmonisation Committee of the Alumni Association.

With this  development, the Association is moving in to becoming a more digital inclined Association where the activities of the Association will not only be beneficial to the University but also to members as business opportunities are about to be opened for the involvement of members in the development of the Alumni village conceived and actualized by the Adetunberu administration.


The EKSU Alumni President appreciated members of Ondo State branch of the Association for the their contributions towards the development of the University, he specially commended Hon. Kingsley Kuku(Former Special Adviser to Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta affairs) who donated a Students' Center which is rated best in Nigeria and worth nothing less than #250 million naira to the University along with two busses for both the Students and Alumni.

He then charged Ekiti State branch of EKSU ALUMNI Association to emulate Ondo State branch in the development of the University .

An Eminent Alumni  at the occasion the former Speaker Ondo State House of Assembly and Present Commissioner for works Ondo State,Alh. Abdusalam  in his response to the appeal by the National President to ensure that he uses his connections with both the Federal Ministry Of Works and Presidency to facilitate  the repairs or total reconstruction of Ado Ekiti and Akure road. He commended the President of EKSU Alumni Association and also pledged to use his God's given grace by assuring  the President that the road construction  will be given attention hopefully before December. He Promised to mobilize all the political appointees in Ondo state towards meaningful support for the one billion Naira Trust fund.

Prof. Kunle Ajayi (An alumnus and member of the Board of Trustees ) Who represented BOT Chairman, while given his Speech, expressed his happiness that absolute peace now exists in the Alumni Association coupled  with  massive infrastructural development  He further called on all well to do members of the Association all over the world to come back home and assist in the development of their Alma Mata.

On behalf of the National President, The National Secretary of EKSU Alumni nation wide Hon. Segun Odidi thanked all  members who participated in the breakfast meeting.

He thanked the Chairman EPG, Dr Isreal Ovirih for his time, financial support and for presenting a very powerful lecture on how to turn opportunities to wealth, also  the Technical Director of EPG, Mrs Margaret Fagboyo for her support morally and financially, he also thanked Mr Steve Akadiri for his ingenuity in bringing the second EPG Breakfast Meeting to a success, he thanked most sincerely the Hon Commissioner for Works in Ondo State, Rt. Hon Abdusalam Taofeek for being part of the meeting, Prof. Kunle Ajayi, also the other Commissioners in the cabinet of  Ondo State who are our members, he thanked everybody for their support especially the University Management led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Mrs)  O. B Ajayi
